How Your Child Spends Their Day at Toddler Town

When you send your child to either of our Toddler Town Daycare locations, we make sure to include activities throughout the day that help your child learn, grow, and develop. We engage in activities such as storytime, music, aerobics, circle time, outdoor games, and much more. We follow a daily schedule for activities as well as eating times so we can keep to a routine that benefits your child’s development. Two Locations and Convenient Hours!

Toddler Town Daycare Centers are open year round, Monday to Friday; from 6am to 6pm at our Chicago location, and from 7am to 6pm in Evanston.

We require all children be in school by 9am.

Activities

Your child’s morning will consist of free play/child’s choice, morning welcome, circle time, games, music, aerobics, stories, and drama. Storytime plays an important role in introducing children to the magic of books.

Although it is never too late to start, we should begin reading books to our children when they are very small, even before they can walk and talk. That is why at Toddler Town we set aside a portion of our budget to constantly purchase new books for our Library.

Afternoons will consist of exercise (gym) games, projects, videos, science and free play. We know how much kids like to play outdoors, but the sun can damage younger skin faster. We now have a cool shade structure, “Designed to block up to 90 percent of the sun’s harmful UV rays and keep playground temperatures up to 30 degrees cooler.”

We believe that children should be safe and enjoy themselves while playing outdoors. Our Shade structure was purchased through the chocolate sale fundraiser. Thank you to all that participated!

Toddler Town believes in sharing the holidays with family and friends. We are closed for the following holidays:

SORRY- NO OUTSIDE FOOD

We encourage celebrating birthdays and holidays with healthy food choices and fun goodie bags. To learn more, check out our Holidays and Birthdays Guidelines.

If a holiday falls on Saturday the Friday before will be observed; if the holiday falls on a Sunday the following Monday will be observed. Toddler Town also reserves the right to close 3 additional days throughout the year for staff in-services. Notice for these in-service days will be posted a month in advance.
