Frequently Asked Questions
Enrollment & Admission
What age groups do you accept?
We welcome children ages 2 to 6 years old, from toddlers through preschool and pre-kindergarten programs.
How do I enroll my child?
You can start by filling out our online inquiry form or contacting either our Evanston or Chicago location to schedule a tour. After your visit, our team will guide you through the enrollment and orientation process to ensure a smooth transition for your child.
Is there a waitlist?
Depending on classroom availability and the time of year, there may be a short waitlist. We encourage families to register early to secure their child’s spot.
Curriculum & Learning
What curriculum do you use?
We follow a research-based, play-centered curriculum that promotes growth in early literacy, math, science, social-emotional skills, and creativity — all aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards.
How do you prepare children for kindergarten?
Our Pre-K program is designed to support school readiness through hands-on learning, structured routines, and activities that build independence, problem-solving, and confidence.
Do you include bilingual or cultural learning?
Yes! We introduce basic words and cultural lessons in English and Spanish, helping children build early language awareness and appreciation for diversity.
Health, Safety & Nutrition
What are your health and safety policies?
We follow all DCFS and state licensing requirements to maintain a safe and healthy environment. This includes secure building entry, daily health checks, and enhanced cleaning throughout the day.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes, we serve nutritious meals and snacks that meet USDA guidelines and are designed with children’s preferences in mind. Menus are shared with families weekly.
What is your sick policy?
To keep everyone healthy, we ask that children stay home if they show signs of illness such as fever, vomiting, or any contagious condition. Children may return after being symptom-free for 24 hours or with a doctor’s note.
Communication & Daily Updates
How will I know how my child is doing each day?
We use the ProCare app to keep parents connected and informed. You’ll receive daily reports, photos, and notes about meals, naps, activities, and learning moments right from your phone.
How often do teachers communicate with parents?
Teachers share updates daily through ProCare and in person at drop-off and pick-up. We also hold parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss progress and goals.
